How does DMI provide training?
DMI provides WebEx training and support for the entire DMI product line.
Tutorials are used during the WebEx conference and are provided in advanced of scheduled training. |

Is there a fee for training?
DMI's mandatory training for each product is included with the purchase. DMI provides a one hour electronic
WebEx training session which will include training tutorials. DMI provides post training support for all of our customers. |

Does DMI provide Operating Manuals for each product? What is included in the Operating Manuals?
DMI provides a detailed Operating Manual for all products that can be found on the DMI product page of interest.
From gage application, to data retrieval, to troubleshooting, the DMI Operating Manual provides a one stop shop
for technical and data-related questions for each DMI product. |

What are the proprietary DMI gages made of?
DMI's proprietary, patented SR2, Epsilon and DPS gages are made of a polymer material with properties conducive
(and proven) to accurately reflect strain measurements. A specialty coating and laser ablation process
provides a 2D barcode that can be used for asset management (for SR2) AND residual stress measurements. |

What are the standard DMI gage sizes for SR2, Epsilon and DPS?
- DPS gages: .375 x .183 in (9.5 x 4.6 mm)
- SR2: .39 in (10 mm) square
- Epsilon: .206 in (5.228 mm) diameter
DMI can customize gage sizes which will entail cutsomized reading capabilities based on customer inquiries.

How is the gage applied to the surface of a critical part/component or testing specimen?
DMI SR2, Epsilon and DPS gages are applied with identically the same bonding agents used for conventional electrical resistance
strain gages (minus of course all of the wiring and soldering.) Additional information is available in Operating Manuals. |

Are there specific requirements for preparing the surface prior to applying a DMI gage?
Surface preparation is identical to applying an electrical resistance strain gage.

Can DMI provide custom gages for specific applications?
Yes. DMI can provide customized gages and hardware configurations depending on the specific requirement.

Does DMI have environmental testing data for the SR2, Epsilon and DPS gages?
DMI has temperature specifications for the gages, and specialty coating testing information available.

Does DMI provide minimum computer specifications for integrating proprietary software and the reader?
The minimum computer specifications are available in the SR2, and Epsilon brochure and Operating Manuals. |

What is DMI's warranty on the hardware and software?
DMI provides a 30 day return policy upon purchase and completion of training.
The components contained are covered by OEM warranties and are available upon request.

DMI provides software upgrades with purchase for the first year of use.
Annual software upgrades are available thereafter. |

Does each DMI inspection product (SR2, Epsilon and Ninja) require individual readers?
No. The same reader is used for each product. |
|
What are the dimensions of the DMI hand held reader?
The DMI hand held optic reader dimensions are 5.2H x 2.7D in. (123H x 69D mm) and has a USB 2.0 connection with a 3.3 ft.(1m) cable. |

How does the DPS affix to a bridge or other type of surface material?
The DPS application is explained in the DPS Operations Manual. |

| DMI Software |

How does DMI provide software for SR2, Epsilon and Ninja Products?
DMI provides software downloads for SR2, and Epsilon products via a SSL website. DMI will provide a userid and password for SR2 and Epsilon.
For Ninja software is included with a designated DoD approved tablet PC. Software is included in the DPS product line. |

Is DMI proprietary software, included in the DPS or does it have to be downloaded?
The software, onboard processing and wireless connectivity via 802.11b/g wireless is included in each DPS.
This product is ready to use right out of the box. |

How much data can the DPS store?
A DPS logs about 500 bytes per reading for each sensor. The DPS contains one sensor. It provides the ability
to change time between readings. The amount of data stored is dependent on the amount of sensors and the time between readings.
A DPS has 5 GB (or slightly more) of free memory.

For the DPS product line what are the software choices?
DMI has developed customized software applications based on specific requirements that have been most widely requested.
